When it comes to braces treatment, one size does not fit all. Every patient has their own unique needs, and also some particular things they want out of treatment. To help all of our patients get the fit they deserve, we offer several types of braces.
Traditional Metal Braces
These braces are the most common type of braces used and are what we think of when we talk about braces. While they are traditional, they have changed over the years, making them sleeker and more efficient. The traditional metal braces we use are made from surgical grade stainless steel. In addition to being highly effective, you can customize them with special brackets or colored elastics.
The biggest downside of traditional metal braces is the way they look. For those who need the effectiveness of traditional braces but want a more aesthetic choice, ceramic braces are an excellent option. They are made from clear or tooth colored ceramic or porcelain, allowing them to blend in with the teeth. However, they are more delicate, making them an option for adults more than teens or children.
For those with mild to moderate alignment problems, clear aligners are an option. These aligners fit snuggly over the teeth and are made from clear plastic, ensuring that those around you cannot see them. You can remove them when eating, brushing, and flossing, and they are incredibly comfortable, making them a great choice for those who need braces, but don’t want them due to the feel of them, the look of them, or the inconvenience of them.
